I write a lot and use an ancient HP Jornada using Win CE and saving files as .pwd.  This converted easily with MS Office 97 - still my favourite Office of all time - but does not work with my two versions Office 2003.   I don't even get garbled words, just a greyout.  The MS converter does not work and only one on-line converter has worked so far (not Trid).   Anyone got any ideas???   Pete

I think that ActiveSync can do the conversion from PWD to DOC automatically, when you copy the documents from the Palmtop to the PC.
Otherwise, I would have recommended to try some online file conversions services from this list (http://file-extension.net#file-formats-converters), but I see that you have already found something suitable.
Unfortunately I can't point to any standalone conversion tools.

Hi, Marko.   Your last suggestion worked fine, but on holidays in Japan I find myself with many .pwd files and no activesynch cable.  I found AS3.1 on Tom`s and tried opening the .pwd, but it still came up as .pwd.
When I tried saving it in Office 97/2000, it remained in .pwd, even though the other file types were available.   Any ideas would be appreciated.

Uhm... maybe it can be done with ActiveSync and a Microsoft's PocketPC emulator, but I never tried.
As for other software, I think that ABC Amber Text Converter (http://www.processtext.com/abctxt.html) should support the PWD (http://file-extension.net/seeker/file_extension_pwd) format. I see there's a trial version, so you may give it a try.

 Hope this helps,
 Bye!
