I must be missing something and I bet it's simple.
I downloaded TrID File Identifier. It tells me I need to go the home page and download the defenitions, but I don't see a definitions file to download. I see a link to the html pages that list the defs. I also downloaded triddefpack and ran it, but nothing happened. I put it in the same folder as TrID and nothing.
What do I need to do to find the defs file and add it to TrID?

If you downloaded the console version of TrID, the file you need is the definitions' package, TrIDDefs.TRD. You can find it, compressed in a .ZIP file to save space, in the download section of TrID's page, just under TrID's package, here:
