Title: TrID Linux Ubuntu Server (8.10 - 10.4) problem

Hello!

Thanks for your really great and useful program!!!

Unfortunately i have problem with TrID in my Ubuntu 10.4 (8.10, 9.04, 9.10 - to) Linux Server (32 and 64-bit).

I downloaded trid and last defs-file from http://mark0.net/soft-trid-e.html and unpack it in one folder. When i try to execute trid, for example (or without any keys or with file location):

Code: [Select]

~/tmp/TrID/trid -h
Nothing happens... Еhe same thing if I move the program in /bin/

But in Desktop version Ubuntu 10.4 - all works very well!

May be i'm doing something wrong. Or in the server version is not something necessary? Can you help me?

Hi!

I have to say I don't have much experience with Linux, so I can't give you an explanation right now.
I'll try to do some test and report back.

In the mean time, hopefully some other users may provide some insights.
