MHT File Definition
« on: May 04, 2007, 05:59:58 AM »
I think someone need to check the current MHT definition file.

I test it on a couple of MHT files and TrID identify it as EML.

I create a new MHT definition file myself, but I don't have enough samples to be sure that it work perfectly.
The one by Dr.Ryo(TM) used 79 sample files.
While mine use only 23 files, although after adding my definition, TrID identify my files correctly.

If anyone has a lot of MHT files, please check it for me.

Thanks

You can refine the existing definition using your own sample files.
That's the best thing, so the samples set will be enough varied.
Just specify the old def when you launch TrIDScan. For example:

c:\trid> tridscan c:\MyMHTfiles\*.mht mht.trid.xml

When you are done, if you send me the new def I will update the def library.

Thanks,
Bye!

Sorry, I missed this reply. I don't remember if we communicated also via email but, anyway, your modifications to the mht.trid.xml defs are been incorporated in the "official" def and will be put online in the next hours!

Thanks!
