TrID video-tsv.trid.xml for Time Shift Video (*.TSV)
« on: July 22, 2017, 12:33:14 AM »
Hello,

I bought an DVB receiver type "Proton T265 LED" of firm Edision.
Product URL is:
http://edision.de/produkte/terrestrisch-kabel-receiver/proton-t265-led/

This device is a PVR and can record DVB TV streams on connected USB storage
devices. The recorded have file names like:
TV_channelFilm_title(Date).TSV

When i run TrID on on these videos all are not recognized ( "Unknown!" see
appended output/trid-old.txt ).

So i run tridscan and name definition file video-tsv.trid.xml.
Because these files are videos i define a mime type by line:
      <Mime>video/x-tsv</Mime>

I found only little information about this file format. Best information is
found on site concerning file name extensions. So i add this site as reference
by XML construct:
      <RefURL>http://www.filetypeadvisor.com/de/extension/tsv</RefURL>

According to this site such files are MPEG Transport Streams. This seems to be
true because i can inspect video by MediaInfo tool to get meta information.
The VLC player can be used to show such videos. So mention these facts in
remark line.

TrID definition and output are stored in archive tsv_pvr.zip.
I hope that my two XML files can be used in future version of triddefs.

With best wishes

I found some other videos of this file type created by similar devices with different brands, so I refined the definition a bit, to just the first few bytes.

Thanks!
