hotlist.trid.xml for Double Commander directory favorites
« on: April 13, 2018, 07:47:26 PM »
Hello,

some days ago i used file manager "Double Commander" version 0.8.1. One
nice feature is that often used or important directory can be
bookmarked. These shortcut lists can also be imported/exported as files with
extension "hotlist". Unfortunately all these examples are classified by TrID
only as "Generic XML (ASCII)" ( See appended output/trid-old.txt)

So i run tridscan to generate definition file hotlist.trid.xml for
such files. The files are simple text file with XML structure. This is
expressed by mime type line:

   <Mime>text/xml</Mime>

This bookmark feature is described on documentation of Double
Commander. This is expressed by reference URL line:

   <RefURL>http://doublecmd.github.io/doc/en/directoryhotlist.html</RefURL>

The inspected bookmark files always have specific strings like
"doublecmd", "DirectoryHotList" and "HotDir". With these additional
strings in trid definition file specific recognition as "Double
Commander directory favorites" will be achieved compared with
xml.trid.xml ( See appended output/trid-new.txt).

TrID definition, some examples and output are stored in archive
hotlist.zip. I hope that the XML file can be used in future version of
triddefs.

With best wishes

Hi Joerg!
Nice! I see some other filetypes from DC that could be added too. Will check and add some.

Thanks, as usual!
