Hello trid users,
some days ago i handled some non Microsoft Office documents. When running
TrID on samples with file name extension fodp, some are only described as
"Generic XML (ASCII)" by xml.trid.xml or are misidentified as "Scalable
Vector Graphics (var.3)" by svg-xml.trid.xml or "Mathematical Markup
Language" by mathml.trid.xml. Some are identified correctly as
"OpenDocument Flat XML Presentation" by fodp.trid.xml ( See appended
output/trid-old.txt).
So i run tridscan to update trid definition fodp.trid.xml. When
comparing this with older definitions then we see that in global string
sections some string lines are vanished.
According to web site reposcope.com the non zipped XML office file gets it's
own mime type. That is now expressed by line:
<Mime>application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.presentation-flat-xml</Mime>
With the updated trid definitions all my inspected FODP samples are
now described ( see appended output/trid-new.txt)
TrID definition and some examples stored in archive fodp.zip. I hope
that my updated XML file can be used in future version of triddefs.
With best wishes
